A Guide To The 2022 Music Festival Season

Coachella 2022

As countries across the world continue to re-open after the year-plus toll of the pandemic, music festivals have been roaring back, with promoters, organizers, and ticket organizations eager to bring live music back to audiences. Many of the biggest festivals in the US ― Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, This is Tomorrow, Latitude Festival, and Outside Lands ― have returned with events scheduled for the summer or fall, while others like Coachella have announced 2022 dates. Artists, too, are eager to welcome back the fruitful touring alternative that is the festival slot, with stars like Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, and Billie Eilish, playing dates across the country.

With the massive proliferation of classic fests and upstart events taking up space on the calendar, we’ve collected (and will be updating) a list of the biggest music festival gatherings across the globe.

2022

Girls Just Wanna Weekend

Dates: 2/1-2/5

Riviera Maya, Mexico

Headliners: Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Tanya Tucker, Indigo Girls

Brandi Carlile’s Girls Just Wanna Weekend – a destination concert vacation produced by Cloud 9 Adventures in partnership with The Bowery Presents – will return to the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico February 1-5, 2022. The event once again features an all-female-fronted lineup, including performances by Yola, Margo Price, KT Tunstall, and more.

Monsters of Rock Cruise

Dates: 2/9-2/14

Miami, FL

Headliners: Alice Cooper, L.A. Guns, Queensrÿche

The annual Monsters of Rock Cruise is returning in 2022 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. Departing out of Miami, Florida, promoter On The Blue announced the five-day/five-night full ship charter cruise will set sail February 9-14 aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas, visit two ports in CocoCay, Bahamas and Labadee, Haiti, and features performances from rock icon Alice Cooper, along with performances from over 35 artists.

The public on-sale has started, with cabins starting at $1,799.00 per person (double occupancy, not including mandatory taxes and fee supplement).

Super Bowl Music Fest

Dates: 2/10-2/12

Los Angeles, CA

Headliners: Halsey, Greenday, Miley Cyrus, Mickey Guyton

The 2022 Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest will feature three nights of A-list stars taking the stage at the Staples Center before Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles. The third go-round of the three-day wind-up to the big game will take place from Feb. 10-12 and kick off on Thursday with Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly with as-yet-unannounced special guests.

The party will keep rolling on Friday night with Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani taking the stage along with Mickey Guyton and reach an apex on the night before with a double bill featuring Green Day and Miley Cyrus.

Innings Festival

Dates: 2/26-2/27

Tempe, Arizona

Headliners: Foo Fighters, Tame Impala, St. Vincent, My Morning Jacket

Foo Fighters and Tame Impala will headline the fourth annual Innings Festival, returning to Arizona’s Tempe Beach and Tempe Arts Park, February 26 and 27, 2022. The two-day event will feature 20 bands on 2 stages, including performances from My Morning Jacket, St. Vincent, Billy Strings. Black Pumas, Caamp, Fitz and the Tantrums, Dashboard Confessional, and more, as well as curated food vendors and fun baseball-related activities.

One Big Holiday

Dates: 3/2-3/5

Riviera Maya, Mexico

Headliners: My Morning Jacket, Brittany Howard, Black Pumas

My Morning Jacket revives their One Big Holiday destination event in 2022 with Lord Huron, Brittany Howard, and Black Pumas among the acts joining them on the lineup. Moon Palace Cancún in Riviera Maya, Mexico will host My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday March 2 – 5, 2022. Sharon Van Etten, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Steel Pulse round out the initial lineup announcement. Look for additional artists, pool party and late-night sets to be announced soon.

Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival

Okeechobee, Florida

Dates: 3/3-3/6

Headliners: Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion, Porter Robinson, Denzel Curry

Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion, Porter Robinson, Denzel Curry, and Griz are set to headline the 2022 Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival in Okeechobee, Fla. The four-day festival located at the Sunshine Grove venue will take place March 3-March 6, 2022, and features a lineup of over 125 artists to celebrate the festival’s fifth anniversary. In addition to live music, Okeechobee Festival offers art, camping, yoga, food, and wellness activities.

CRSSD Festival

San Diego, CA

Dates: 3/5-3/6

Headliners: Glass Animals, Sofi Tukker, 070 Shake

The CRSSD experience extends beyond the stages, with fans able to enjoy craft food and cocktails from a variety of vendors, go for a dig at the CRSSD record shop in partnership with LA’s Stellar Remnant, experiment with new gear at Tech Center or explore all Downtown San Diego has to offer before or after the show. CRSSD After Dark programming to be announced.

South By Southwest

Austin, Texas

Dates: 3/11-3/20

Headliners: TBA

Organizers for SXSW have announced plans to resume in-person events next year. The festival, which wrapped its first-ever online edition last week, is slated to return to Austin, TX on March 11-20, 2022.

“We at SXSW are hopeful that once people feel it’s safe enough to return to what will be the new normal of life, there will be a real enthusiasm for getting back to the things that brought them joy or opportunity or just the simple need to be out amongst humanity,” organizers said in a statement. “We can’t wait to bring people together once again to meet and share ideas.”

Smokin Grooves Festival

Los Angeles, California

Dates: 3/19

Headliners: Erykah Badu, Nas, The Roots

Other artists set to perform at Smokin Grooves include acts like Smino, Sir, The Internet, Flying Lotus and Thundercat, as well as Roy Ayers, Angie Stone, Musiq Soulchild, Dwele, and many more.

Innings Festival Florida

Tampa, Florida

Dates: 3/19-3/20

Headliners: Green Day and The Lumineers

Green Day and The Lumineers will headline the inaugural Innings Festival in Tampa, Florida, March 19-20 at Raymond James Stadium Grounds during Grapefruit League’s spring training. The two-day event will feature over fifteen artists on three stages, with no overlapping sets, and performances from Incubus, Khruangbin, 311, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Jimmy Eat World, Goo Goo Dolls, O.A.R., Highly Suspect and more.

UKU Music + Art Project

New Orleans, LA

Dates: 3/25-3/27

Headliners: Tame Impala, Tyler, The Creator, Glass Animals

For the past decade, BUKU has fostered a boutique festival experience that proudly reflects the progressive, artistic, and diverse subculture of New Orleans. Attendees can look forward to multiple indoor and outdoor stage environments, inspiring art installations and creations from local graffiti artists, pop-up breakdancing crews, and plenty of surprises while taking in the historic New Orleans skyline for two unforgettable days.

For the 2022 edition, BUKU has once again crafted a lineup that highlights some of music’s most impactful and unique artists across a variety of genres. This includes three of electronic music’s most highly-regarded performers with Porter Robinson, Rezz, and Alison Wonderland joining the lineup.

Ultra Music Festival

Miami, FL

Dates: 3/25-3/27

Headliners: David Guetta, Alison Wonderland, Carl Cox, DJ Snake, Alesso, Nina Kraviz, Martin Garrix, Kygo

The highly anticipated Ultra Music Festival is returning to Bayfront Park in Miami this March 25-27, and the marquee dance festival has revealed its phase one lineup. Ticket holders from the 2020 event had the option to roll over tickets from 2020 to this upcoming 2022 show. The festival will also host its first-ever all hardstyle stage, which will be hosted by Belgian hardstyle, jumpstyle and happy hard label Dirty Workz. Stay tuned for phase two line-up announcements.

Dreamville Festival

Raleigh, North Carolina

North Carolina-raised, Grammy Award-winning, and multi-platinum hip-hop artist J. Cole has announced that Dreamville Festival will return next spring while expanding to two days on Saturday, April 2, and Sunday, April 3, 2022.

Coachella

Indio, CA

Dates: 4/15-4/17, 4/22-4/24

Headliners: R Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, Ye (Kanye West), Lil Baby, and Doja Cat

Coachella festival has officially moved to April 15-17 and April 22-24, 2022, according to an announcement from promoter Goldenvoice. The country-themed Stagecoach festival will follow the two Coachella weekends, on April 29-May 1. The new dates mark the fourth time the festival – which takes place over two weekends at the Empire Polo Ground in Indio, California – has been rescheduled due to the pandemic: first from April to October 2020, then to April 2021, and then October, although the October dates were not officially confirmed by promoters.

Beale Street Music Festival

Memphis, TN

Dates: 4/29-5/1

Headliners: Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Lil Wayne, Dirty Honey

Other artists set to perform at Beale Street include Lindsey Buckingham, Glorious Sons, Modest Mouse, Toad the West Sprocket, Soccer Mommy, Three 6 Mafia, Moneybagg Yo, Sarkodie, Trigger Hippy, Sue Foley, and Kenny Brown.

Shaky Knees Festival

Atlanta, Georgia

Dates: 4/29-5/1

Headliners: Nine Inch Nails, Green Day, My Morning Jacket

Nine Inch Nails, Green Day, and My Morning Jacket have been named as headliners for the 2022 iteration of the Atlanta, Georgia festival Shaky Knees Festival. The event will be held in the city’s Central Park between April 29 and May 1.

New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival

New Orleans, Louisiana

Dates: 4/29-5/8

Headliners: Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks, The Who, Willie Nelson

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, fondly known as “Jazz Fest” and one of the traditional highlights of the US festival season, was recently postponed again, now set for April 29-May 8. Organizers say that the latest move is due to the “current exponential growth of new COVID cases in New Orleans and the region and the ongoing public health emergency.” Jazz Fest, a springtime fixture for half a century before the pandemic, had been postponed altogether in 2020, planned for spring this year and then, in June, moved to an October schedule.

The Smokers Club Fest

San Bernardino, CA

Dates: 4/30

Headliners: Kid Cudi, A$AP Rocky, Playboi Carti

The Smokers Club Fest, set to be hosted at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino, will also feature Schoolboy Q, Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Ferg, Joey Bada$$, Flatbush Zombies, Dom Kennedy, Yung Lean, Lupe Fiasco, Rico Nasty, Wale, and more.

“WE’RE BACK,” the music festival wrote on Twitter alongside its tour poster. Tickets for the festival go on sale Monday, January 24, and start at $223, while VIP entry for the music event costs $409. The event will be hosted by the Smoker’s Club founder Shiest Bubz.

Cruise to the Edge

Orlando, FL

Dates: 5/2-5/7

Headliners: Marillion, Alan Parsons, Transatlantic, Al Di Meola

Cruise to the Edge, the world’s greatest progressive rock experience, has announced the artist line-up for its 7th annual voyage, next May 2-7. Featuring over 35 artists, the five-night exclusive cruise charter is sailing out of Port Canaveral (Orlando), Florida aboard Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas and set to visit two ports: The Private Isle of Labadee and Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas.

BeachLife Festival

Redondo Beach, CA

Dates: 5/13-5/15

Headliners: Weezer, Smashing Pumpkins, Black Pumas

BeachLife co-founder / producer Allen Sanford said of the whole event: “Especially during these dynamic and uncertain times, BeachLife Festival has become something that the beach community can look forward to, breathe easy, and smile. KPOP.FLEX

Frankfurt, Germany

Dates: 5/14

Headliners: (G)I-DLE, MONSTA X

Europe’s biggest K-pop festival, KPOP.FLEX, is set to take place in Germany in May. The one-day event will be held at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on May 14, 2022, where 44,000 fans will get to see performances from seven top K-pop acts.

Lovers and Friends

Las Vegas, NV

Dates: 5/14-5/15

Headliners: Lauryn Hill, Usher, TLC, Ludacris, Nelly

As one of the world’s largest R&B and hip-hop festivals, Lovers & Friends Festival will treat fans to rare, blast-from-the-past performances from legendary artists including Usher, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Ciara, Ludacris, Ashanti, TLC, Brandy, Monica, Eve, Boyz II Men, and many others. The festival will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15, 2022.

Welcome To Rockville

Daytona Beach, Florida

Dates: 5/19-5/22

Headliners: Guns N’Roses, Foo Fighters, KISS, Korn

After being canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Welcome To Rockville returned in a new location, having been moved from Jacksonville’s Metropolitan Park as it was believed to be in need of a bigger venue. The capacity of the festival has now increased to 40,000 fans as a result.

Hangout Music Fest

Gulf Shores, Alabama

Dates: 5/20-5/22

Headliners: Post Malone, Phoebe Bridgers, Tame Impala, Megan Thee Stallion, Halsey

For three days, attendees will gather together on the white sand beaches of Southern Alabama’s famed Gulf Shores for a community-focused festival that has become a favorite for fans and performers alike since its debut in 2010. Part music festival and part immersive travel experience, guests will also get the chance to take part in a variety of activities and events that help to make Hangout a true music vacation.

Lightning In A Bottle Festival

Buena Vista Lake, California

Dates: 5/25-5/30

Headliners: Glass Animals, SG Lewis, Katyranada

Do LaB, originators and creators of the boutique festival experience Lightning in a Bottle, have announced that the festival will be returning in 2022 to Buena Vista Lake in Southern California.For five days on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-30, LIB will gather a unique blend of torchbearers from an array of genres and origins to its renowned creative tapestry.

Boston Calling Festival

Boston, MA

Dates: 5/27-5/29

Headliners: Foo Fighters, The Strokes, Metallica

“We are so thrilled to bring Boston Calling back, and we cannot thank our loyal fans enough for supporting us as we navigated the pandemic,” Boston Calling CEO Brian Appel said in a press release. “This year’s line-up is particularly special for us. It not only signifies a return to the things we love, but it also celebrates some of the world’s most renowned acts, exciting up-and-comers, and Boston’s talented music scene.”

Solid Sound Festival

North Adams, MA

Dates: 5/27-5/29

Headliners: Wilco, Japanese Breakfast, Sylvan Esso, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy

Jeff Tweedy of Wilco will also play a special set with a range of as-yet-unannounced guests, billed on the poster as ‘Jeff Tweedy & Friends’. Elsewhere at Solid Sound, John Hodgman and Jean Grae will host a showcase of stand-up comedy, with guests like Negin Farsad, River Butcher and Nick Offerman.

Other standout inclusions are a set by the Sun Ra Arkestra directed by Marshall Allen, a performance by Nels Cline’s Consentrik Quartet, and the ‘On Fillmore’ installation led by Finnish pop singer Jonna Tervomaa.

Primavera Sound Festival

Barcelona, Spain

Dates: 6/2-6/4, 6/9-6/11

Headliners: The Strokes, Tame Impala, Lorde

Primavera Sound Festival has announced its line-up for 2022, with the likes of The Strokes, Tame Impala, and Lorde all on the bill. The Barcelona festival canceled both its 2020 and 2021 editions due to the coronavirus pandemic, but now intends to return in 2022 with a bumper event. Over 400 artists will perform as part of Primavera 2022, which will primarily be held at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona across two weekends next year: June 2-4 and June 9-11. More than 150 shows will also take place in venues across Barcelona between June 5-8 next year as part of the festival. The event will then close with the ‘Brunch On The Beach’ party on June 12.

Mighty Hoopla

London, UK

Date: 6/3-6/4

Headliners: Sugababes, Mutya Buena, Jessie Ware, and Siobhan Donaghy

Sugababes’ original line-up has been announced to headline next year’s Mighty Hoopla festival in the UK. Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan, and Siobhan Donaghy will top the bill on the first day of the London festival, which will expand to two days in 2022.

Rock am Ring & Rock im Park

Nuremberg, Germany

Date: 6/3-6/5

Headliners: Green Day, Muse, Weezer, Volbeat

Volbeat, Green Day, and Muse have been confirmed to headline Rock am Ring and Rock im Park 2022. The twin German festivals are aiming to return next year after being forced to cancel their 2020 and 2021 events due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park will run simultaneously from June 3-5, 2022. The three headlining bands will be joined on the line-up for both festivals by the likes of Weezer, Deftones, Korn, Lewis Capaldi, The Distillers, You Me At Six, and 100 Gecs.

CMA Fest

Nashville, TN

Headliners: TBA

The Country Music Association’s four-day CMA Fest has been canceled for the second year in a row, amid the ongoing pandemic. The annual Nashville festival, which was slated to take place June 10 – 13, is one of the most anticipated country music events of the year.

Despite these new setbacks, the CMA has announced dates for 2022, in what is being touted as “the most epic celebration of country music.” The festival, which typically takes place in venues across the city, including Music City Center, Nissan Stadium, and the Ascend Amphitheater, is scheduled for June 9-12, 2022.

Governors Ball Music Festival

Queens, NY

Dates: 6/10-6/12

Headliners: J. Cole, Kid Cudi, Halsey, Jack Harlow

After celebrating the festival’s 10th anniversary this past fall, Governors Ball 2022 will once again serve as the kickoff to summer, returning to the event’s traditional early June dates. The headliners are joined across the weekend by performers including Flume, Playboi Carti, Roddy Ricch, Glass Animals, Migos, Jack Harlow, Kaytranada, Joji, Louis The Child, Clairo, Jazmine Sullivan, Still Woozy, 100 Gecs, Japanese Breakfast, Becky G, Black Pumas, and many more.

Kite Festival

Oxford, UK

Dates: 6/10-6/12

Headliners: Jarvis Cocker, Grace Jones, TLC

Besides the aforementioned names, other artists on the lineup for Kite Festival so far include: Mavis Staples, This Is The Kit, Saint Etienne, Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, Nubiyan Twist, Flamingods, Mermaid Chunky, Baxter Dury, Confidence Man, The Orielles, Gwenno, Katy J Pearson and Fran Lobo.

ParkLife Festival

Manchester, UK

Dates: 6/11-6/12

Headliners: 50 Cent, Tyler, The Creator, Megan Thee Stallion

As well as Tyler, 50 Cent and Megan, the likes of Lewis Capaldi, Bicep, Chase & Status, Loyle Carner, Jamie xx, Arlo Parks, Headie One, Central Cee, Fred Again.., ArrDee, Caroline Polachek, Tom Misch and PinkPantheress will also perform.

Bad Boy Chiller Crew, India Jordan, Four Tet, Jessie Ware, Enny, Nina Kraviz, Mahalia, Carl Cox and Tems are also on the packed bill for Parklife 2022. BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra will also be broadcasting from the festival.

Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival

Manchester, TN

Dates: 6/16-6/19

Headliners: J. Cole, Machine Gun Kelly, Stevie Nicks, The Chicks

Bonnaroo has paid close attention to fan feedback throughout its history in order to best enhance the onsite experience, each year integrating new features and exciting upgrades to the overall event. Bonnaroo 2022 will see the debut of an array of additional activities and site improvements, including enhanced signage, wayfinding help, pedicabs, info booths, cooling stations, and much more.

Bonnaroo 2022 will also see a number of stage improvements, including a spectacular production makeover for the festival’s second biggest stage, The Which Stage. In addition, The Other Stage – Bonnaroo’s beloved home for electronic music – will now feature all-night performances and DJ sets through sunrise each day, along with spectacular new lighting, lasers, and surprises galore.

Isle of Wight Festival

Newport, Isle of Wight, UK

Dates: 6/16-6/19

Headliners: Lewis Capaldi, Muse, Kasabian, Lionel Richie

Lewis Capaldi, Muse, Kasabian, Lionel Richie, and more are set to headline next year’s Isle Of Wight Festival. After holding its delayed 2021 edition earlier in September, the festival announced dates and ticket details for its 2022 festival. Joining the aforementioned headliners include Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra’s celebrated Ibiza Classics show (alongside Kasabian on Saturday night).

Hellfest

Clisson in Loire-Atlantique, France

Dates: 6/17-6/19, 6/23-6/26

Headliners: Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Faith No More, Nine Inch Nails

One of the world’s biggest heavy metal/hard rock festivals, France’s Hellfest, is returning in 2022. The organizers are making up for losing two years by expanding to two weekends in 2022: June 17-19 and June 23-26. Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Faith No More, and Nine Inch Nails are set to headline.

Roskilde Festival

Roskilde, Denmark

Dates: 6/25-7/2

Headliners: Tyler, The Creator, HAIM, Dua Lipa, St. Vincent

The Danish event is set to return next year for the first time since 2019, with their 2020 and 2021 editions both canceled as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. Roskilde 2022 is scheduled for June 25 to July 2 next year. Arlo Parks, Fontaines D.C., IDLES, Kelly Lee Owens, and Poppy are also set to perform.

Lollapalooza Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden

Dates: 7/1-7/3

Headliners: Post Malone, The Killers, Pearl Jam

The second annual Lollapalooza Stockholm in Sweden is set to go down at GÃ¥rdet, a sprawling park in the heart of the city. Ahead of their Paris appearance, Pearl Jam will also be headlining the Stockholm affair, along with Post Malone, The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Doja Cat, Glass Animals, Kacey Musgraves, Lewis Capaldi, Jimmy Eat World, Sigrid and Swedish pop sensation Veronica Maggio.

Love Supreme Festival

East Sussex, UK

Dates: 7/1-7/3

Headliners: Erykah Badu, Bill Frisell, TLC, Charles Lloyd

A heavyweight line-up of acts from the UK’s thriving jazz, R&B, and soul scenes will also be performing at Love Supreme, including Tom Misch, Lianne La Havas, Ezra Collective, Franc Moody, The Brand New Heavies, Emma-Jean Thackray, Matthew Halsall, Nala Sinephro, and Sarathy Korwar.

Hideout Festival

Zrce Beach, Croatia

Dates: 7/3-7/7

Headliners: Mike Skinner, Paul Woolford, Alan Fitzpatrick, Darius Syrossian, Denis Sulta

After a two year delay, Hideout Festival’s monumental 10th Anniversary Edition gets a whole lot bigger with the full line-up now announced and a wave of incredible headliners added. Now also playing from July 3-7, 2022 at Zrce Beach, Croatia, will be Gorgon City, Mike Skinner, Paul Woolford, John Summit, Alan Fitzpatrick, Darius Syrossian, DJ Seinfeld, Maya Jane Coles, Denis Sulta, Doorly, Denney, Mall Grab, Mafalda, Adelphi Music Factory and many more on top the lineup such as Camelphat, Sonny Fodera, Andy C, Jamie Jones, Jayda G, Eats Everything, Sherelle, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, and loads more.

AJ Tracey, Lil Uzi Vert, Skepta, Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow, Ms. Banks, Rico Nasty, and Central Cee will also perform at this year’s inaugural festival, alongside a number of other artists.

Rolling Loud Portugal

Algarve, Portugal

Dates: 7/6-7/8

Headliners: J. Cole, A$AP Rocky, Future

J. Cole will headline the opening night of Rolling Loud Portugal on July 6, with A$AP Rocky rocking the bill the following evening (July 7). Future will then close the event on July 8.
AJ Tracey, Lil Uzi Vert, Skepta, Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow, Ms. Banks, Rico Nasty, and Central Cee will also perform at this year’s inaugural festival, alongside a number of other artists.

NASS Festival

Bristol, UK

Dates: 7/7-7/10

Headliners: Headie One, The Streets, Mabel

NASS, known for being the UK’s biggest celebration of music, street art, skate and BMX, will take place July 7-10, 2022 at the Bath and West Showground near Bristol. BST Hyde Park

Organizers for BST Hyde Park have announced that the London festival will not take place in July, as planned, amid the ongoing pandemic. In the same statement, however, it was confirmed that headliners Pearl Jam and Duran Duran are still set to perform during next year’s festivities, which are rescheduled for July 8 – 10, 2022.

Pearl Jam will take the stage on both Friday and Saturday evenings, with the Pixies joining them on the first night. Duran Duran, who is set to headline Sunday evening, will be joined by Nile Rodgers & CHIC.

Tramlines Festival

Other acts at Tramlines include: The Wombats, The Vaccines, James, Declan McKenna, Sigrid, Becky Hill, Reverend And The Makers, Little Man Tate, Shed Seven, Self Esteem, The Coral, Sports Team, Inhaler, The Snuts, Jade Bird and more. Sam Fender will be Friday night’s headliner on ‘Sarah Nulty’s Main Stage’. Former Tramlines director and co-founder Sarah Nulty died in 2018 at the age of 36. The festival’s main stage has since been named after her to pay tribute to her contribution to the event and Sheffield’s local music scene.

Kendal Calling

Speaking of Kendal Calling’s return, co-founders Andy Smith and Ben Robinson said: “Here we go! 2022’s festival is three years in the making – organizing festivals is never easy, yet despite the false starts and setbacks encountered we have never been more geared up as we prepare for the festival of a lifetime.

Øya Festival

The lineup for Øya includes AJ Tracey, Girl In Red, Pa Salieu, Michael Kiwanuka, Yard Act, Princess Nokia and Beabadoobee. The Øya bill is split 50/50 between male and female artists. This year’s Øya marks the first event since 2019 after its 2020 and 2021 editions were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Flow Festival

Finland’s Flow Festival has announced the first acts for its 2022 edition, with the likes of Michael Kiwanuka, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Sigrid and Gorillaz among the names confirmed so far. Described as “The Nordic countries’ coolest festival” by American Vogue, The three-day event will return to the Finnish capital, Helsinki, between August 12 and 14 next year. It’s set to host around 150 artists at the historical Suvilahti, a former power plant area in the city.

All Points East

The 2022 Beach Road Weekend live music festival in Veterans Memorial Park has announced its return, which includes the likes of Beck, Wilco, the Avett Brothers, Lord Huron, and more. Posty Fest

Post Malone’s Posty Fest 2021, which was meant to take place later this month, has been rescheduled for 2022 due to “logistical issues.” The event would have been the third edition of the festival and would have seen it expand to two days for the first time. A statement on the festival’s official website reads: “Due to logistical issues impacting the production of the festival, Posty Fest is rescheduling to 2022. Refunds are available at point of purchase. We can’t wait to make 2022 our biggest year yet. Stay safe everyone, we’ll see you soon.”
