Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar passed away yesterday (February 6, Sunday) morning. His last rites in the evening at Shivaji Park in Mumbai (Lata Mangeshkar funeral in Shivaji Park Mumbai) completed. Lata didi's brother Pandit Hridaynath Mangeshkar lit the fire. He was given a final farewell with state honours. Today (February 7, Monday) his ashes (Ashes of Lata Mangeshkar) was handed over to the Mangeshkar family. Lata didi's nephew Adinath Mangeshkar (Adinath Mangeshkar) reached Shivaji Park. Taking the ashes urn, Adinath Mangeshkar left for Prabhu Kunj, the residence of Lata didi. Adinath Mangeshkar is the son of Lata didi's brother Hridaynath Mangeshkar. He is a singer like his aunt and father.
On the other hand, many fans and music lovers of Lata Mangeshkar have written a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. It has been demanded in the letter that the last rites of late Lata didi should be erected at the same place where the last rites were performed at Shivaji Park in Dadar.

The memorial of Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray is also located in Shivaji Park. Lata didi is the second personality after Balasaheb Thackeray to be cremated at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. Lata didi's last rites have also taken place at a short distance from the place where Balasaheb Thackeray's last rites were performed. 92-year-old Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital on January 8 due to corona. She remained in the hospital for 28 days. He had conquered Corona and Pneumonia. But due to the deterioration of many parts of the body, he finally died on Sunday (February 6) at 8.12 am.
In the evening, big personalities of politics, cinema and sports were present at Shivaji Park in Mumbai to attend his funeral. PM Narendra Modi attended. Apart from them, CM Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar, opposition leader Devendra Fadnavis gave their last farewell to Lata didi. From the field of sports, Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar reached Shivaji Park to pay tribute. Megastar Shah Rukh Khan was present at the funeral and offered his prayers.
