"We do not want war, but we are ready to defend our compatriots in Donetsk and Luhansk," he said. The speaker of the Russian Duma has said that the European Union (EU) has remained silent on the situation in Ukraine, adding that Europe would be the battleground for any war in Ukraine.
Amid tensions between Ukraine and Russia, Sputnik News Agency reported two car bombs exploded in a pipeline around the city of Luhansk after a car bomb exploded in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk, the first on Friday night near the city of Luhansk. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a police recruiting center in the Malayalam region.
