In Which We Want the 'Chill Pill' Rahul Gave to Anjali

You know that time every year when kids get their summer break and parents look at the unforgiving end of holiday homework projects? Well, that time of the year seems to have clearly advanced by two months as the mercury hit 42.6 degrees Celsius in Delhi – the highest for the first half of April in 72 years. My team is already coaxing me into giving more work-from-home days than we already have because the conditions have got the better of most of us. Remember the energy drink ads where the cartoon sun is sucking the life out of little children playing outside...yes, we all feel that way now. To add to this, the C-word is rearing its ugly head again. No, not the expletive commonly thrown around on the city's streets, but Covid cases have surged. Just when we as individuals as well as stakeholders in the entertainment and lifestyle domains were looking at heaving a sigh of relief, the dual attack is again threatening to push us back into gloom.

Rahul's "Anjali, take a chill pill" has taken literal connotations now. Staying cool, both figuratively and literally, thus becomes all the more important. Don't spread panic. Wear fabrics that keep you cool. Eat foods that not only have cooling and soothing properties but also boost immunity. To help you make cool choices, here's a curation of planet-friendly cafés and handloom bazaars that promote the work of local artisans and propagate slow fashion.

But you know, sometimes because people think change exists [naturally], they're like, 'Oh, we're done' [and stop working towards the goal], says the Master actor. Read more about her take on racism.
