Two songs were correctly identified by all submitters this week! They were “Aquarius”, from the musical Hair, and Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here”. Cake’s “Sheep go to Heaven” was the least correctly identified song, though Taylor Swift’s “The Archer” also confuzzled a lot of people.

This band was formed by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan (but it’s not Tool). The title of this song is two words: this star sign, and based on the other I could have used it in the first quiz of this term…

Hint: This 2010s song refers to the artist’s (a Lyrics Quiz frequent flyer) star sign, and is similar in tone to her earlier song “All Too Well”. The live version from the City of Lover one-off concert in Paris, France is particularly good - I recommend giving it a listen.

Hint: This 1990s song references the parable of The Sheep and the Goats from Chapter 25 of the Gospel of Matthew. This American alternative rock / country and western band are going the distance, and have a thing for girls wearing short skirts and long, long, jackets. Their name is a four letter baked good that I like to make.

The musical's profanity, its depiction of the use of illegal drugs, its treatment of sexuality, its irreverence for the American flag, and its nude scene caused much comment and controversy. The title of the song refers to the star sign.

Hint: Honestly, it’s the “two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl” line that made me link this song to the star sign, as the symbol for Pisces is two fish swimming in a circle. This 1970s song by a legendary English rock band comes from the same album as “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” and “Have a Cigar”, and includes themes from both of those songs - a former bandmate, who left the band after having a mental breakdown, and a discussion of how the fame, greed and ambition of one of the bandmates is affecting the others.
