It is a truth universally acknowledged that today is a random Thursday in April, I have decadently and shamefully already ordered food to be delivered to my house before 11 am, and no amount of affirmational Instagram posts that I stumble across on my is enough to convince me that I should be radiating positive energy. I'm vibrating as high as I can right now, and if you can't accept me like this, I don't know what to tell you. I think it's time for some new self-help language. We need to move away from "vibrations" and "light" and celebrate some unexpected human virtues, like completely zoning out while cooking something and then being like "wait, am I cooking this?" or reading every word of an article that seems like it was generated by a bot about the reasons the moon is making you bad at answering texts, or typing "heartwarming photo of koala behind the wheel of a car that will make the crushing realities of existence seem banal" into Google and seeing what comes up. Today's stories include: the strangest spring festivals across the country, the best places to eat at Coachella, the hotels with the best beer programs, and a camping guide for New York State. Let the adventures begin! Have a beautiful rest of your Thursday, - Ned Riseley, Senior Copywriter |
